Fried Red Snapper, Rice & Peas, Grouper Filet, Ice Cold Polar
An old cargo container, painted with tropical scenes and boasting a full kitchen inside and a serving counter carved out of the wall is actually one of the best little sleeper restaurants on the island of Curacao, in the southern Caribbean. Ridiculously fresh red snapper, dorado chowder, and stewed conch are done up in the best Antillean style and served by the proud owner himself. Try the habanero salsa if you need a jolt.

Soon to be roaming the streets of DC, the high-tech mobile restaurant called the Sâuçámobile will be serving up toffles, salads, soups, and the signature “Sâuçá,” a flatbread wrap featuring cuisine from around the world. Shown is the African/Indian offering of butter chicken. The shoot was a blast, and the food was amazing. Keep your eyes peeled, or just check it out on their web site: Sâuçá.
